Venus Williams never fails to amaze us. She is 40 but still young as ever and one of the most respected players on tour. She has now played in three decades and still terrifies the young players coming in with her prowess on the court.
The elder Wiliams has been quite influential on social media. During the lockdown, she posted her workout routines and gave makeup tips. She even launched her skincare brand ‘Eleven by Venus.’
With the season resuming in a few weeks, Venus is back on the court. She is playing in the World Team Tennis, where she is participating for the 15th time. WTT has 9 teams and generally is played all across the States. However, due to the pandemic, the organizers have limited it to one venue in West Virginia.
Venus is playing for the Washington Kastles. The WTT boasts a good set of American players with the likes of 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin, the 2017 US Open champion Sloane Stephens, and the Bryan brothers.

WTT is taking all precautions necessary during this COVID-19 situation. Only 500 people allowed in the stadium and masks are madatory for everyone. Temperature checks are also carried out regularly.
Despite being 40, Venus is still as sparkly and bright as she was when she made her debut. She has won numerous Grand Slams and is one of the greatest of all time. It is a pleasure to watch her compete again.
